S.O.A Talk

Peer To Peer Support

Will give an opportunity for men over 18 to come together once a week for 2 hours to share how they are feeling, a chance to offload and discuss any anxiety, pressures or general day-to-day struggles they may be having in a safe, supported and more importantly emphatic peer group.

Jan 2023,SOA_Talk, a peer-to-peer support group was in planning.Peer to peer support is a form of assistance where individuals with similar experiences help one another in a supportive and non-judgmental manner. This support can take many forms, such as emotional, informational, or practical. It allows people to share their experiences, learn from each other, and gain valuable insight into difficult situations. Peer support is often a great alternative or supplement to traditional forms of counseling or therapy because it provides a sense of community and belonging. Additionally, it can be very empowering to receive help from someone who has been through a similar experience and come out on the other side. By fostering a culture of peer support, individuals can build strong and lasting relationships, gain new skills, and achieve a sense of self-empowerment. SOA -Talk is there for that purpose, Soa Talk launched in Sussex with future plans that more groups will be opened across the South, and eventually the rest of the UK.
